A couple running for survival from the undead find temporary shelter in the company of a newly retired schoolteacher who has a unique perspective on human nature and a grim prognosis for mankind.
Developed over 2 and a half years while working as a full-time Previsualization Supervisor on Battleship, 47 Ronin, Tomorrowland, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and completing his first film project as VFX Supevisor on Ride Along, Carolina Parakeet is AJ's directorial debut. He also wrote, edited and contributed to its visual effects.
Caroline Parakeet premiered on May 8, 2014 in Los Angeles. Currently in its Film Festival run, Carolina Parakeet has won awards for Best Actor, Best Short and Honorable Mention for Best Director.
